ICC YAAF: How can arbitration practitioners rise to global challenges

20 May 2024

Washington, D.C. English
Start: 17:00 (ET) - End: 18:30 (ET)

Join us the evening before the 38th Triple Colloquium on Interntional Arbitration for a special program co-hosted by ICC YAAF, Young ICSID, and ICDR Y&I.

How can arbitration practitioners prepare and remain relevant in a multi-polar world with evolving global and regional crises? From cybersecurity to humanitarian and environmental law—what expertise is required for the cases of tomorrow? This program will address those questions by:

  • Taking stock of key global developments—including pandemics, climate change, armed conflict and artificial intelligence.
  • Assessing the implications for commercial and investment arbitration.
  • Asking how counsel and arbitrators should remain relevant in the face of these global trends and related disputes.
