ICC DRS is a proud partner of the first Nairobi Arbitration Week (NAW) which will take place from 18th to 22nd September 2023 in Nairobi, Kenya. The theme of NAW 2023 is “Gearing up for Changing Times: Exploring Perspectives for Arbitration.” On the occasion of this special week, ICC YAAF and ICC Kenya are delighted to welcome you to this conference organized in collaboration with the Young ITA.
As part of the Nairobi Arbitration Week (NAW), ICC YAAF will host a discussion on The ICC International Court of Arbitration & The NextGen. In this session, the speakers will map out the past, present and future of international arbitration in the context of the ICC International Court of Arbitration. In this interactive discussion, participants will be invited to share their thoughts on their experiences with international arbitration and ADR and through the panel conversations, encouraged to evaluate how they can, in their unique individual capacities, contribute to shaping the future of international arbitration and ADR for the Next Generation and the ICC International Court of Arbitration’s next 100 years.
Thereafter, there will be a Nairobi Arbitration Week Young Practitioners Event which will discuss the Built Environment & The NextGen. In this panel, the Nairobi Arbitration Week attendants will consider the built environment; an industry predicted to change in the future. Through industry-specific presentations, construction dispute resolvers and users will be invited to appreciate where the developments in this sector are headed, and the challenges faced in this industry.
Who should attend
Open to those aged 40 and under, YAAF provides opportunities for individuals to gain knowledge, develop their skills and understand ICC’s arbitral procedure and other dispute resolution services.
