The ICC International Court of Arbitration’s North America team and the United States Council for International Business (USCIB)/ICC USA are organizing their annual New York Vis pre-moot to help teams prepare for the 31th Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, arbitrated under the ICC Rules of Arbitration.
Teams are invited to submit their application via the registration link. The organizing committee will start the selection process after the closing deadline: 5 December 2023. Teams will be informed by 8 December 2023 of the outcome of their application.
The organizing committee will invite experienced practitioners to act as arbitrators in the pre-moot. The practitioners will evaluate the students’ performance and provide feedback.
The ICC/USCIB New York Vis Pre-Moot will enable teams to:
- Measure up against and interact with other teams;
- Receive comments and interact with arbitrators from different professional, cultural, and legal backgrounds;
- Practice and improve their advocacy skills;
- Refine and adjust their oral arguments; and
- Interact with members of the Secretariat of the ICC International Court of Arbitration.
