Panel Discussion 1: From the Perspective of Judicial Review: How does China Move Towards an International Arbitration Hub? (Chinese)

- As the latest China arbitration law was enacted twenty years ago, the law itself hardly keeps up with ever-changing international arbitration developments. In order to build a friendly and open environment for international arbitration in China, local Chinese courts are playing a significant role in the judicial review of foreign arbitral awards. Can foreign arbitral awards be recognized and enforced in China? Are these judicial review judgments effective in a country with a civil law system? What measures does China take to build an arbitration-friendly centre? This panel will invite Chinese judges and international practitioners to explore these questions and discuss international arbitration evolution in China.

ICC China has made the contribution to translate this valuable report into Chinese to facilitate Chinese users. This panel will base on this report to discuss how technology should be leveraged in international arbitration in the future.
