A Century of Change, A New Era of Rules: Inside the ICC Rules of Arbitration 2026 (Conducted in Chinese)

International commercial arbitration is undergoing a profound efficiency revolution. Effective from 1 June 2026, the new ICC Arbitration Rules will apply to all arbitration requests submitted on or after that date. The ICC has anchored the revision around three core objectives: efficiency, clarity, and usability. While preserving the inherent flexibility of ICC arbitration, the revisions aim to further streamline procedures, reduce delays and costs, and better serve the evolving needs of global business users. This session will decode the key amendments and assess their far‑reaching impact on international arbitration practice.

Interim measures and emergency arbitrator procedures have become essential tools for loss mitigation and asset preservation in international arbitration. It will dissect key practical challenges and explore strategic pathways for leveraging these tools in cross‑border dispute resolution.
