The International Chamber of Commerce’s Young Arbitration & ADR Forum (ICC YAAF) is organising a breakfast event to present the recent Guide on Effective Conflict Management and the Report on Facilitating Settlement in International Arbitration.
This breakfast event for the Chilean local community will increase awareness of different dispute resolution techniques and how to facilitate the settlement of disputes in international arbitration. The panellists will delve on the recent ICC Guide on Effective Conflict Management, which offers guidance in selecting the most appropriate ADR technique and explains how to efficiently use them to avoid escalation, resolve disputes and reduce the cost of unavoidable disputes, before and after the commencement of arbitration proceedings, as well as on the Report on Facilitating Settlement in International Arbitration, which proposes ways allowing parties to settle disputes even once arbitration has begun, thereby preserving business relationships.
ICC YOUNG ARBITRATION AND ADR FORUM
At ICC, we believe that through training and mentorship, we can mould the next generation of leading international arbitration and ADR experts. Through the Young Arbitration and ADR Forum (YAAF) network, we are able to better inform, connect and inspire young professionals with interests in dispute resolution and dispute avoidance. Open to those aged 40 and under, YAAF provides opportunities for individuals to gain knowledge, develop their skills and understand ICC’s arbitral procedure and other dispute resolution services. Held throughout the world, those opportunities include a number of educational and social events that allow young professionals to discover best practices, discuss topical issues, network and create meaningful connections with experienced practitioners.
