Session 1 | The new ICC Arbitration Rules: first lessons learned

The updated ICC Arbitration Rules entered into force on 1 June 2026. More than five months in, what is working, what has surprised practitioners, and what should in-house counsel know before drafting their next clause or filing their next case?

Session 2 | Faster, faster, fastest: the new expedited and Highly Expedited Arbitration procedures

The 2026 Rules raise the expedited threshold to USD 4 million, sweeping in around 40% of recent ICC cases, and introduce a brand-new Highly Expedited Arbitration Procedure delivering an award in three months, with a sole arbitrator and documents-only proceedings if the tribunal so decides. A practical session on what this means for in-house counsel: how to draft (or redraft) arbitration clauses, when to opt in, when to opt out, and what a three-month procedure really feels like from the inside.

Session 3 | Keeping arbitration on track

Session 4 | Mediation: the in-house counsel's first move

A practical discussion on using mediation early and strategically: when to deploy it, how to draft effective dispute resolution clauses, how to build internal support for mediation, and the value it can deliver in terms of cost, time and preserved commercial relationships.

We present the findings of the Reinventing Dispute Resolution working group with members of the working group. Rather than tweaking the existing rules, the working group has approached the question from a blank page: if we were to design dispute resolution today, based on the realities and priorities of modern businesses, what would it look like?
