The 3rd edition of the ICC South Africa Arbitration and ADR Days, taking place from 5–11 February 2026 in Johannesburg and Cape Town, brings together dispute resolution stakeholders at a timely moment for advancing South Africa’s role in complex cross-border dispute resolution.
Objective
With an arbitration framework aligned to recognised international standards, the programme deepens understanding of institutional processes and strengthens confidence in international practice. As commercial relationships continue to evolve across borders, the ability to manage disputes with procedural discipline, cost transparency, and effective administration remains essential to a supportive legal and business environment.
The 2026 programme supports this objective through modern, practice‑focused learning and engagement with experienced international practitioners.
This year’s edition features an ICC Training on International Commercial Arbitration with the Law Society of South Africa (LSSA), ICC YAAF events in both cities and is alongside ICC’s participation at Mining Indaba, the premier African mining investment conference that brings together governments, investors, and industry leaders to explore sustainable growth and investment opportunities across the continent.
Who should attend?
Private and public sectors leaders, engineers, lawyers, in-house counsels and young practitioners.

The programme covers essential topics such as the introduction to international arbitration, drafting effective arbitration agreements, initiating arbitration, preparing a Request for Arbitration, selecting arbitrators, managing conflicts of interest, and understanding key jurisdictional concepts including competence‑competence and the ICC Court’s prima facie review.
