Technology disputes and the use of technology in arbitration have become increasingly prevalent in modern society. In this session, we explore how parties can navigate technology-related disputes through arbitration and utilise technology to achieve an efficient and fair outcome.
Technology plays a significant role in modern arbitration, particularly in the nascent fields of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence (AI). As a flexible and effective method of alternative dispute resolution, the increased use of technology in arbitration has been a necessary progression. Technological disputes often require domain experts, confidentiality and flexibility. In this regard, arbitration is the natural and bespoke solution for such disputes.
As technology continues to evolve, the advancements available in the market have revolutionized the arbitration process, enhancing efficiency, security, and decision-making. However, concerns remain over issues of maintaining confidentiality and privacy. Stakeholders must stay abreast of emerging trends, regulations, and best practices to harness the full potential of technology while maintaining the integrity of the arbitral process.
Aimed at in-house counsel and anyone who is interested in the intersection between technology and arbitration, this session aims to address concerns and elicit discussion on how to strike a balance between harnessing the benefits of technology while approaching its use with caution.
