The increasing regionalising and specialisation of international arbitration is undeniable. One need only to look at the ongoing uptick in the number and spread of new arbitration centres: with new arbitral institutions continuously popping up across the globe, selling themselves as the next best alternative to existing institutions by promoting their specialist knowledge in a particular regional or technically specific market.
This fascinating development is a clear example of the remarkable interest and enthusiasm that international arbitration is generating and continues to generate throughout the world. However, what are the impacts of such phenomena and, more importantly, are they desirable?
We shall examine the dual impact of this growing ‘regionalising’ and increasing specialisation of arbitral offerings, assessing in particular:

Who should attend?
This conference is aimed at young arbitration practitioners of approximately 40 years or under: counsel, arbitrators, corporate counsel or academics. The ICC YAF Conference is an ideal forum for young practitioners to exchange thoughts on international arbitration and to enrich their network in the region.
