27 Feb 2020

Paris English

The Frankfurt Pre-Moot ICC YAF is a panel discussion bringing together young arbitration practitioners and students to discuss issues related to the Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot Court 2020 problem.

The aim of this event is to help students prepare for the 2020 Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot Court by encouraging discussions between arbitration students and young practitioners on issues relating to the Moot Court problem, placing them in a broader context.

The discussion will focus on two topics, which will be presented by the panellists, before discussion in a Q&A format:

  1. State consent : succession and continuity
  2. Appointment of arbitrators : multi-party appointments and appointments in cases involving States

Who should attend?

This conference is aimed at students participating in the Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot Court, as well as young arbitration practitioners of approximately 40 years or under (yet, everyone interested in the subject is welcome): counsel, arbitrators, corporate counsel or academics. The ICC YAF Pre Moot Conference is an ideal forum for students and young practitioners to exchange thoughts on international arbitration and to enrich their network in the region.  This event will be held in English.
