ICC YAF: It takes two to tango

ICC Young Arbitrators Forum (ICC YAF) is organizing a pre-Christmas networking event on cooperation between in-house and external counsel in arbitration.

The panel discussion between young practitioners with diverse backgrounds, including in-house and external counsel, will focus on in-house lawyers’ approach to arbitration. Our speakers will share their views on the questions of whether – and, if yes, then why – companies and their in-house counsel are afraid of arbitration, and whether – and, again, why – arbitration might be an appealing alternative to court litigation for them. We will also debate the question of how to ensure smooth cooperation between in-house counsel and external lawyers. Our speakers will share notes and tips from their work and offer advice to other young practitioners.                                                

Who should attend?

This conference is aimed at young arbitration practitioners of approximately 40 years or under: counsel, arbitrators, corporate counsel or academics. The ICC YAF Conference is an ideal forum for young practitioners to exchange thoughts on international arbitration and to enrich their network in the region.
