Join us for a discussion on the main trends and challenges related to the current Brazilian Energy Arbitration scenario.
The Brazilian electricity market is the largest one in Latin America. It represents almost 3% of the Brazilian GDP. The power sector is divided into two markets: the regulated market, which is composed of distributors and captive consumers, whose contractual relationship is regulated by the Brazilian Energy Regulator (ANEEL); and the free energy market, which is composed of power consumers, power generators and trading companies. The free energy market has been increasing in Brazil, which has been also causing an increase in energy arbitration disputes.
This ICC YAF event is part of the lineup of events ahead of 10th ICC Brazilian Arbitration Day.
Who should attend?
This conference is aimed at young arbitration practitioners of approximately 40 years or under: counsel, arbitrators, corporate counsel, or academics. The ICC YAF Conference is an ideal forum for young practitioners to exchange thoughts on international arbitration and enrich their network in the region.
