Following the 5th edition of the ICC Advanced Seminar on Arbitration, join us for this one-day in-person conference held at NOVA School of Law, that seeks to launch the debate on the main take-aways of the pandemic period, on the application of the 2021 ICC Rules of Arbitration so far, as well as on the use of witness statements in arbitration.

This event is addressed to all those interested in arbitration, and in particular to the younger generation of arbitration students and practitioners. The event will begin with welcome remarks from the organising entities: Ana Serra e Moura, Deputy Secretary General, ICC International Court of Arbitration, Joana Granadeiro, ICC YAF Representative for Europe and Russia, and Mariana França Gouveia, Dean of Nova School of Law. These remarks will be followed by a three-member panel on the application of the 2021 ICC Rules of Arbitration, where Maria Claudia Procopiak, Thierry Tomasi and Cristiana Gonçalves Correia will share their respective views and experiences. After the coffee break, a panel on the use of witness statements will follow. Here, Tatiana Lisboa Padrão, Ricardo Saraiva and Matilde Líbano Monteiro will share the perspective of counsel, and Sofia de Sampaio Jalles will share the perspective of the arbitrator. Finally, the event will conclude with a keynote speech by Julien Fouret and followed by a cocktail reception.
