21 Dec 2022

Beirut English
17.00 (Beirut) | 16.00 (CET)

Join us on the first stop of this roadshow, in Beirut, on 21 December 2022. It will be followed by stops in Cairo and Tunis. Dates to be announced shortly.

Lebanon, Egypt and Tunisia share a historically solid and mature legal tradition and infrastructure suitable for the development of international arbitration. They also share macroeconomic and geopolitical commonalities: the evolution of their recent and current history was marked by geopolitical turmoil's and economic instability with a succession of crises undermining perhaps their potential to become reliable hubs for international arbitration. This, while we witness the emergence of aspiring regional hubs in neighbouring gulf countries.

This roadshow is an opportunity to hold a series of events to discuss to what extent such recent geopolitical and economic setbacks have affected the dispute resolution landscape and the main issues practitioners and counsel are grappling with in arbitrations seated in these respective jurisdictions.

All young arbitration and ADR practitioners, youngs lawyers and students are invited to attend the event.
