Join us for our YAAF reception to conclude the Penn Carey Law International Arbitration Association (PLIAA) 2023 Annual Conference on The Re-Assertion of the State in International Arbitration.
ICC YAAF and the Penn Carey Law International Arbitration Association will be closing out the Association’s day-long international arbitration conference with an evening dedicated to networking, both with colleagues and guest speakers from the day.
Please note that to attend the reception, attendees must register for the whole-day in-person programme, which will include the following panels:
- The New Generation of International Investment Agreements
- The Weaponisation of International Arbitration as a Tool of Foreign Policy
- The Role of State-Owned Enterprises In International Arbitration
- Corruption Issues at the Enforcement Stage
Panels will be moderated by the Conference Co-Chairs Penn Law Professors William W. Burke-White, Jacques deLisle, Claudio D. Salas, and Beth A. Simmons.
Additionally, the conference’s keynote speaker will be the ICC International Court of Arbitration’s own Deva Villanúa, Vice-President of the ICC Court of Arbitration and prominent arbitrator in commercial and investment disputes.
Please note that this event is in-person only and registration is required.
Open to those aged 40 and under, YAAF provides opportunities for individuals to gain knowledge, develop their skills and understand ICC’s arbitral procedure and other dispute resolution services.
What is ICC YAAF?
At ICC, we believe that through training and mentorship, we can mould the next generation of leading international arbitration and ADR experts. Through the ICC Young Arbitration and ADR Forum (YAAF) network, we are able to better inform, connect and inspire young professionals with interests in dispute resolution and dispute avoidance.
Throughout the world, ICC YAAF organises a number of educational and social events that allow young professionals to discover best practices, discuss topical issues, network and create meaningful connections with experienced practitioners.
