ICC YAAF: Industry Series – Arbitration and Mining

ICC YAAF is organising a series in Latin America on the disputes that arise in diverse industries and economic sectors and resolution through arbitration and other dispute resolution methods.

In this first session, the panellists will dwelve on the relations between mining and arbitration in the region. In particular, they will analyse the impacts of recent regulatory changes in the mining industry, with an emphasis on current investment treaties. Likewise, they will discuss on the existence of a Latin American lex mineralia, the most recurring mining conflicts to date and the best way to resolve them.

Who should attend?

The event is intented to young practitioners and in-house counsel in mining companies, as well as state representatives.

Open to those aged 40 and under, YAAF provides opportunities for individuals to gain knowledge, develop their skills and understand ICC’s arbitral procedure and other dispute resolution services.

What is ICC YAAF?
