ICC YAAF: Ethical Issues in International Arbitration

12 May 2023

Milan English
Start: 15.00 (CEST) | End: 18:00 (CEST)

Join us in Milan for a lively debate with members of the international arbitration community on ethics issues in the field and how to resolve them.

The event will feature two panels of arbitration practitioners, members of arbitral institutions and in-house counsel, who will discuss “current problems” and “tentative solutions” with respect to a variety of ethics issues that may arise in the course of an arbitration and affect the enforceability of the award, as well as a keynote address by Professor Catherine Rogers, a leading authority on ethics in international arbitration.

This event is jointly organized by ICC YAAF and the Institute of International Studies of the Catholic University of Milan.

Who should attend?

-        Practicing lawyers;

-        Arbitrators;

-        In-house counsel (including those working for public entities or the State);

-        Academics and experts involved and/or interested in international arbitration; and

-        Students who would like to pursue a career in international arbitration.

Open to those aged 40 and under, YAAF provides opportunities for individuals to gain knowledge, develop their skills and understand ICC’s arbitral procedure and other dispute resolution services.

What is ICC YAAF?

At ICC, we believe that through training and mentorship, we can mould the next generation of leading international arbitration and ADR experts. Through the ICC Young Arbitration and ADR Forum (YAAF) network, we are able to better inform, connect and inspire young professionals with interests in dispute resolution and dispute avoidance.
