A rich panel of experienced arbitrators will unpack the nuts and bolts of enforcing pathological arbitration clauses and foreign arbitral awards within the Nigerian context.
Objective/Who should attend?
This seminar aims to equip participants with practical insight into how to tackle otherwise unenforceable “pathological” arbitration clauses. It will highlight best practices around drafting enforceable arbitration clauses but also address the challenge to sustain an arbitration even in the face of a pathological clause. The insightful afternoon will also examine the procedure for enforcing foreign arbitration awards in Nigeria, navigating participants through the intricate steps and pointing out pitfalls to avoid on the way to successfully reap the fruits of the award. This ICC YAAF event is open to legal practitioners, arbitrators, in-house counsels, students, business leaders, ADR enthusiasts.
