Take part in this debate competition for young arbitration lawyers: a unique opportunity to test your debating skills, team spirit and ability to think on the spot.
The ICC YAAF Bratislava DebateFest is a debate competition intended for very young and young arbitration lawyers (up to 5 years PQE) who wish to practice and perfect their debating skills and to test their general knowledge of arbitration, all in a fun and interactive format. The competition is organized in the style of the World Football Cup, with groups, elimination rounds and two finals.
The young participants will be given a limited amount of time to take a position, either for or against, various statements pertaining to evidence in international arbitration (e.g., witness testimony is unreliable, document production should be abolished). Their performance in the debate will be judged by an arbitral tribunal.
