CISG has played a positive role in developing international trade and promoting friendly relations among countries on the basis of equality and mutual benefit for the past forty years. The CISG applies to contracts for the sale of goods between parties whose places of business are in different countries where both countries are contracting states under the CISG.
The event will discuss the application of CISG in contracting countries, and is one of the UNCITRAL Asia Pacific Day events to celebrate the 40th anniversary of CISG, organized in partnership with ICC.
