Joint ICC-Arbitral Women Event: The Diversity Spectrum Across ADR

18 Feb 2020

Dubai English

On the occasion of the 8th ICC MENA Conference, the joint ArbitralWomen-ICC panel discussion will shed light on the role of women in alternative dispute resolution.

The diverse panel of legal experts will address salient gender-related issues such as the difficulties faced by women entering into alternative dispute resolution to establish their credibility based on the differences generated by their choice between arbitration, mediation, dispute adjudication or expert determination. The panel will also analyze the general receptivity of women in these fields and, drawing upon the speakers’ experience, will consider possible immediate remedies along with ways to promote the exposure and long-term support of women practitioners in alternative dispute resolution.

Through this joint panel, ArbitralWomen and the ICC aim to offer a forum for a constructive discussion on gender diversity issues in international arbitration.

Who should attend?

This event is open to all dispute resolution practitioners, both male and female: counsels, arbitrators, corporate counsels, claims’ consultants or academics.
