ICC YAF: Looking back into the first Emergency Arbitrator cases

17 Oct 2019

Monterrey Spanish
This event is free of charge, however prior registration is required.

The conference will focus on emergency arbitrators and some of the cases that have been managed since the introduction in 2012 of EA proceedings in the ICC Arbitration Rules (Article 29 and Appendix V).

In April 2019, the ICC Arbitration and ADR Commission published the Emergency Arbitrator Proceedings – ICC Arbitration & ADR Commission Report (the “Report”). The Report is based on an empirical study of the first ICC Emergency Arbitrator applications, considering that, by 30 April 2018 (six years after the implementation of the Emergency Arbitrator provisions) 80 applications had been submitted. This conference will present the conclusions of the Report and will bring into the discussion real experiences from professionals.
