Digital Infrastructure & Space Tech: New Opportunities and Disputes Risks

16 May 2023

Sydney English
Start: 16:45 (AEST) | 8:45 (CEST) || End: 11:00 (CEST)

Join us as we navigate opportunities and risks in digital and space industries, and how to best resolve space disputes in Australia and the APAC region.

As Australia's digital infrastructure and space tech industry matures and barriers to entry decrease, industry participants continue to grow beyond traditional State actors to a multitude of New Space players. The sector is critical across commercial industry sectors as well as to defence and national security. With increased satellite activities, competitive launch abilities, and involvement in space exploration, such growth and investment indeed brings immense opportunities, but also carry risks, including the risk of disputes. Our panel which consists of industry and legal experts will explore the current landscape of developments in the sector in Australia as well as future trends. We will zoom in on dispute avoidance techniques, mediation and arbitration as dispute resolution tools, and how to build these techniques and tools into relationships with partners.

This event is for industry representatives, in-house counsel, and legal practitioners with an interest in dispute avoidance and resolution in the space industry.
